Dubbed as the most accessible suburban office location in Dublin, Termini at 3 Arkle Road in Sandyford boasts 224,000 sq. ft. of new best-in-class offices over 6 floors.
Completed in 2020, the Grade A office development, just 20 minutes away from Dublin city centre, features the highest specifications achievable in an office setting.
Recent data from Orbital Systems revealed 21% of job-seeking millennials consider the presence of shower facilities to be a factor in their decision to take a job with a particular company. With this in mind, it was high on the developer’s agenda to incorporate shower and changing facilities in the office space.
Crofton Interiors, one of our accredited installers, were appointed to install fit-for-purpose and high spec toilet and shower cubicles that would guarantee user privacy. Not stopping there, changing room solutions including lockers and benches were also specified for the waterside office development.
Unity Full Height toilet cubicles in High Pressure Laminate (HPL) were specified in all male, female and accessible toilets across the 6 floors. HPL is an ideal choice for more heavily used washroom areas as it is heat, scratch and impact resistant so will withstand the demands of busy commercial washrooms. Unity has a flush-fronted, floating appearance that is simple and striking, ideal for this Grade A office development.
Complementing the toilet cubicles, Unity Full Height was also chosen for the shower areas. With full height doors, pilasters and partitions this popular cubicle range offers increased privacy for users; ideal for public showers. Termini’s 19 shower cubicles were specified in Solid Grade Laminate (SGL), a tough water resistant material that guarantees longevity and quality.
A key consideration in high footfall washrooms is safety. Unity cubicles feature emergency release indicator bolts, allowing access to inside the cubicles in the event of an emergency without the need to remove or damage parts. Meanwhile, the cleverly engineered hinges allow the doors to be set to fall open or closed when not in use. The shower doors fall open when not in use to indicate vacant cubicles, while the toilet doors fall closed for a continuous, elegant design.
Our metal framed non-plumbed washroom panelling system, Frameduct, was specified for the WCs and urinals. The sturdy metal-framed panelling system makes for quick installation while the 90° linear bearing hinged panels offer easy ongoing maintenance. Elevating the high end look of the office washrooms even further, a bespoke herringbone design was routered into the SGL panels.
The office shower and changing areas feature 124 lockers* with coin return locks, so tenants have ample space to securely store their belongings during their working days. Model 2 and Model Z lockers give workers flexibility to store a variety of items, including hung clothes while the benches are a practical addition to changing areas.
Termini’s office toilet cubicles, shower cubicles, washroom panelling, lockers and benches were all specified in our Gunmetal finish. The contemporary and elegant design of the washrooms is well suited to the décor throughout the rest of the building.
We’re thrilled to see how the Venesta washroom solutions have met the strict Grade A office development brief and are sure the office tenants are enjoying their 5✰ toilet, showering and changing facilities.
*Please note, Venesta Washroom’s locker offering has been updated since this installation. Active Lockers now feature a robust, impervious to water SGL carcass.Find out more here
