2019 | Venesta eliminates board waste.

We are extremely proud to announce that we have totally eliminated board waste going to landfill, with the help of our state-of-the-art, 1.75MW, on-site biomass burner.

In 2016 we challenged ourselves to set new standards for the washroom industry by reducing or if possible, totally eliminating our board waste. With our significant £1m investment we have achieved 0% board waste to landfill, alongside further environmental and cost saving benefits.

Whilst our new biomass burner takes care of MDF and HPL offcuts, solid grade laminate is renowned for being virtually indestructible and requires extra attention from our smaller, dedicated non-biomass burner.

The heat generated by both burners is combined to provide heating for our entire manufacturing facility and office building from waste offcuts.

As a manufacturer we’re making the most of every portion of the materials that we use and are continually searching for ways to reduce energy consumption across all of our facilities. We know our responsibility and Venesta is totally committed to making a positive impact on the environment.
