Position overview

This position is based from your home in Ireland and primarily involves making appointments with Architects, local authorities and specifiers (that are located in Ireland) who have upcoming projects with a requirement for commercial washrooms. Your role is to remotely assist the customer by discussing their projects in detail to understand their requirements and make suitable recommendations from Venesta’s range of washroom products. Once a specification has been agreed upon, you are responsible for providing your customer with the written specification in NBS format.

In addition, you will be tasked with delivering certified CPD presentations to Venesta’s key target audience, Architects and Specifiers, via Zoom or in person when required by the customer. Whilst the majority of your appointments with customers will be carried out remotely, on occasion (when specifically requested by the customer), you will be required to attend an appointment in person on site or at customers’ offices. Presence in the marketplace and relationships with customers make a considerable difference to our business and results.

The role

  • Work alongside and support the project-management led internal Sales team
  • Identify new business opportunities and make a minimum of 15 remote specification appointments each month
  • Carry out appointments with customers daily which result in quality, high value remote specifications for new projects
  • Make & deliver CPDs to Venesta’s key target audience
  • Pro-active new business to identify new project opportunities, utilising Glenigan & Marketing leads
  • Social Media (LinkedIn & Twitter) – grow followers, post weekly & share company posts

Candidate profile

Due to the highly technical nature of our target audience, their projects, our products, building regulations and NHS compliance requirements, this exciting position will suit a candidate with a technical background, strong attention to detail and excellent retention skills. The successful person would also:

Other responsibilities

  • Support the internal sales team with securing orders on an ad-hoc basis
  • Ensure relationships with key customers are established and maintained
  • Maintain business relationships with all customer groups
  • Ensure effective territory planning to maximise use of time when face to face appointments are needed
  • Ensure effective communication with internal departments
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of activity and performance
  • Ensure company vehicle is kept clean and tidy as specified by the manufacturer
  • Occasional travel and office work outside of usual working hours
  • Other tasks that may be necessary for the smooth running of the business


  • Generous basic salary
  • Annual bonus of £4,200 OTE (capped at £9,000 – based on 140% of target)
