University Hospital of Wales
Like any healthcare project, the Univesity Hospital of Wales needed a compliant, tested and proven solution for their panelling and sanitaryware. They needed a supplier who understood their need to put their patients first and provide facilities that were of the highest standard.
Read on to find out how we met the challenge.
As part of an ambitious project designed to modernise obstetrics and gynaecology care in Wales, the country's University Hospital has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art, nine bed midwifery building.
This £16 million scheme is set to transform services for pregnant women, offering three birthing pools and six home-from-home birthing rooms as well as a consultant-led unit for more complex births. It will also provide new facilities for IVF Wales, Gynaecology, Fetal Medicine, Antenatal Clinic and a Maternity Assessment Unit.

Venesta's ground-breaking IPS and IPS Healthcare pre-plumbed panelling systems were specified by project architects, Boyesrees. They were chosen for their ability to fit seamlessly into the unit's contemporary design and provide quick and easy installation, a key consideration on a project of this scale.
"On a project of this scale, we look for an efficient, stress-free installation. All the plumbing for this job was done off-site to an excellent standard which meant we could install it quickly and easily."Marcus Lynes, Shires Integrated Systems Ltd (installers)
At Venesta we understand that specifying for healthcare is entirely different to specifying for other sectors. Hygeine and infection control are absolutely paramount, particularly on a project such as a midwifery building. The quality and design of our finishes and fittings meant that we were the ideal choice to supply such a specialist project.
This was a highly prestigious project for the Venesta team and one that showcases our unrivalled expertise in the healthcare sector.
