At 443 feet tall and 390 feet in diameter, The London Eye is Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel. Situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, it offers the second highest viewing point in London and is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the UK with over 3.5 million views annually.

The Challenge

Therefore it needed some sturdy visitor facilities to withstand the busy traffic! Public washrooms such as this can get very heavy useage and also be quite wet areas so the chosen supplier needed to provide a cubicle system that was robust, water resistant, easy to clean and maintain and one that looked great too.

To accommodate this, Venesta’s Equinox cubicles were specified along with solid surface washtroughs and Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) urinal duct panels.
The Equinox cubicle range is built to last. Manufactured from anti-vandal solid grade laminate with strong and sturdy elliptical aluminium head rail, it gives a cutting edge look but with rock solid integrity.
Equinox also has very discreet anti-tamper fixings, another example of the attention to detail we pay when designing our cubicle ranges; we know that strength doesn’t have to compromise style. Solid surface wash troughs with lockable SGL underpanels provided the perfect solution for the hand wash area. Aside from its obvious style, solid surface is a material manufactured for longevity. It stands up to all amounts of wear, is totally impervious to water and is also very easily repairable.

With a sturdy reputation to uphold and a steady flow of traffic to facilitate, Venesta were proud to be part of such a significant project, helping to ensure the best possible customer experience, even when visiting the washroom.
