Denbigh Leisure Centre
Denbigh Leisure Centre is a sports and swimming centre in the heart of Denbigh. The centre is open seven days a week and provides access to a swimming pool, sports hall, fitness suite, gymnasium and all weather pitch for members and pay as you go customers alike.
In 2016 the council decided to fund a £250,000 revamp of the centre to refresh the previously outdated facilities and Venesta were chosen for the washroom and changing room section of the refurbishment.
Due to increased public demand, the existing washroom area had become worn-out from heavy usage. As a result Denbigh Leisure Centre requested a washroom cubicle that would withstand high volumes of traffic on a daily basis, be hygienic, resistant to water and vandalism and include a smart, bright colour to maximise space.
Fusion cubicles were specified in Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) for both the changing rooms and toilets for its easy to clean, durable material that is suitable in both wet and dry environments and that adheres to public health and safety standards, without the need for constant maintenance.
Fusion cubicles are the ideal range for changing rooms due to its slimline frame and increased door allowance, which not only holds great visual appeal, but enables easier access in and out of the cubicle.
Both the toilet and changing cubicles were specified in a Pineapple coloured laminate to inspire a sense of cleanliness within the public washroom and changing room areas.
The changing room benches specified for the renovation are manufactured using hardwearing solid beechwood slats, to stand up to heavy duty use in the wettest of environments. They are available in five styles each with a black nylon galvanised steel framework coated with complementary wall-mounted aluminium coat hooks available in light grey.
Fusion cubicles provided Denbigh Leisure Centre the refreshed washroom and changing room areas they desired. Fusion enabled them to maximise the area to allow for larger changing room cubicles, more benching areas and even left space for extra baby changing units to cater for their ever increasing customer demand.
“All of this has happened as a result of increased demand and as a service we are delighted to be able to meet the growing needs of our customers and to continue to provide excellent facilities for the communities that we serve.”
